Delivery time (DE): Within 6-7 business days
Item number: P417277
2 pieces of 3D printed side panels and covers to modify the microKorg in Minimoog style
Modifying the microKORG is not difficult.
Remove all potentiometer caps and unscrew the 3 large pots. Be careful: The two Edit Select caps have screws that must be unscrewed before removing the caps!
1 Open the housing by removing all the screws on the underside.
2 Disconnect all internal cables.
3 Loosen all screws holding the circuit board and the key-bed with the modulation and pitch bend wheels.
4 Remove the circuit board and the key-bed
5. carefully cut (!!!!) the upper and lower part into two halves. The upper part is best cut with a sharp knife along the exit edge below the metal plate. The lower part must be cut 125 mm from the upper edge. Before cutting, check that the dimensions are correct by comparing them with the side walls!
6 (optional) If you want to repaint the case, now is the perfect time before you reassemble everything.
7. put everything together. Make sure you connect all the internal cables first before closing the two housings.
8. glue the side panels to the lower and upper part and make sure that everything is aligned. I recommend Cemedine Super-X glue as it allows the parts to be realigned for a period of time. (Support the case with some cardboard to keep it straight on the table) While the bottom part can be permanently glued together with the kebyboard part, be a little sparing with the glue for the top case. In the event that a new opening is required, it should be possible to remove the upper housing. This housing can be secured with additional screws through the bearing of the side parts instead of just using glue.
That's it.
